Is the Precision Medication Test covered by insurance?

While the Precision Medication Test is paid for out-of-pocket at the time of purchase, we cannot guarantee that you'll be reimbursed. However, if you have private insurance, you may choose to submit a claim for reimbursement on your own. Keep in mind, the decision to reimburse is entirely up to your insurance provider.

Is the test eligible for payment through FSA/HSA accounts?

Yes, you can usually use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to cover the cost of PlexusDx tests.

What happens after I receive my results?

Your results are a powerful piece of your healthcare. Please consult your healthcare provider prior to making any adjustments to your medication regimen. Can I buy a Precision Medication Test for someone else or my child?

Yes. You can purchase a test for another person. They will need to activate their test kit on our website upon receipt. For minors, parental or guardian consent is required for activation.

How do I track my sample's delivery to PlexusDx?

As soon as you purchase your genetic kit, you are informed every step of ifs journey to you, and to PlexusDx, by email and text notifications. As soon as PlexusDx receives your sample, expect results within 10 days.

Why isn’t my medication listed in your medication directory?

PlexusDx's Precision Medication Test provides one of the most comprehensive reports in the field. If your medication isn't included, there's insufficient clinical evidence supporting the identification of genetic variants. Our reports incorporate the latest clinical guidance from reputable organizations, including the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and the Federal Drug Administration (FDA).

Does this test provide ancestry information?

This test does not offer ancestry details. It focuses solely on how your genes affect your response to specific medications.

Can this test predict my disease risk?

This test is not designed to assess your likelihood of developing diseases, including cancer.
